The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received a $25,000 pledge from TD Canada Trust in support of the 2007-2009 “Give… for the Health of it!” Campaign. Presenting the first installment of $12,500 from TD Canada Trust are JoAnne McCooeye, South Porcupine Branch Manager, and Lily Dumais-Ethier, Timmins Branch Manager, and accepting the donation on behalf of the Foundation is Gabriel Provost, Campaign Co-Chair.

Today, Mr. Bertrand Nolet from EPCOR presented the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation (T&DHF) with a cheque for $200.00 from EPCOR’s Employee Community Support Program. On hand to accept the donation is Jean Pierre Nadon, Executive Director of the T&DHF.

The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that Siva’s Restaurant, the Rotary Club and the Kiwanis Club will be hosting a steak dinner Tuesday, August 5th in support of the 2007-2009 “Give… for the Health of it!” Campaign. 100% of ticket sales will be donated to the Foundation. On hand for the photo-op are Dale Young, Secretary of the Rotary Club, Leo Lafleur, President of the Kiwanis Club, Sivapathan Mylvaganam, Owner of Siva’s Restaurant, Darren Taylor, Event Co-ordinator, and Robert Perrault, Foundation Chairperson.

Motorcycle enthusiasts in Timmins and surrounding areas have always stepped forward in order to support good causes in our community. Their most recent demonstration of good will comes in the form of a $916.13 donation to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation from the former Timmins Chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club (SCRC).

T&DH Foundation is pleased to announce that Baby Patrick Dubé is the 2nd winner of a $250.00 RESP donated by the Heritage Education Funds for the period of April 1, 2008 to July 11, 2008. On hand to present the prize to parents Annik Duguay & Patrick Dubé with Baby Nicholas Dubé is Kimberley Norman, Timmins Sales Representative of Heritage Education Funds Inc.
